I put this here to define some of the possible mental conditions Lennie might be suffering from, as it is not specified in the novel. This is important to know when voting on the poll. Not my information, just links to websites that talk about the symptoms, etc.
This whole blog is about how the subject of Mental Disability is developed in "Of Mice and Men" and what Steinbeck is saying about the mentally disabled. Whether he is saying that those with a peer-endangering mental disability should be locked up, or that the mentally disabled should not be blamed for the actions they make. Also I will be talking about how the mentally disabled are separated from the rest of the world and the consequences they face for a condition they were born with.
